Otogi no Uta is a series of songs, short stories, and drama CDs about musicial acts based on well known folk tales and stories. These bands face off against each other in music battles in hopes of achieving their happy endings. However, if they get KO'd in battle, they turn into small animals called Mutes. Thankfully, they change back to normal once their heart is at ease...

Yosuzume's band is based off the Cut Tongue Sparrow. His Mute form is that of a large sparrow with his tongue hanging out. (Looks like that little bird in this post's icon.)

"Yosuzume, heir to the Sparrow's Inn, sets off on a journey to avenge his tongue-cut older sister with the bamboo cage demon brothers Ootsuzura and Kotsuzura.
Steadfast to a fault, he blindly marches forward to his desired happily ever after, reviving his late sister."

"Son of the Youkai family running the 'Sparrow's Inn'. Diligent literature enthusiast. Uncommunicative, but changes if he holds his megaphone and becomes very talkative.
While suffering from illness, he devotes himself completely to avenging his older sister. He wears her bridal robe with grudges and curses weaved into it as a memento."

Band Ability: Restricting Movement. When the band plays in a battle, the words of their cursed song literally fly out and attach themselves to their opponent. The opponent is nearly paralyzed.
Of course, this ability probably doesn't work as well if he's on his own...
